Resume
Jessica
Plummer was born as a
wee babe in the early hours of February 17th, 1985. Some say pencils
just grew out of her fingertips and art naturally followed. Growing
up in sunny Sacramento, California for a partial time of youth,
young Jessica spent much time frolicking about bare-foot and killing
trees with her collections of sketchbooks. Her artistic inspiration
most of the time was, "Darn it all...that looks cool. I guess
I'll just have to draw that good!"
She
promptly fell in love with the art of animation growing up afterwards
in Orlando, Fl. Battling hurricanes and high school, she finally
emerged as a formidable artist in the "real world" when
she was employed under Fasen Arts, Inc. drawing caricatures at Universal
Studios, Orlando. After her first summer there she meandered far
north to attend Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY as a Traditional
Animation student for four years. Jessica stayed with the Fasen
clan until 2004, when she practically had to sign over her soul
to Pratt alone to complete all that schooling, but only temporarily.
Jessica
currently resides in Chicago, IL, traveling fairly frequently between
there and cities such as New York and Orlando. She works small animation
or art jobs at the moment, but you may give her a nicer job, if
you'd like!
----
She
is very inspired by, but not limited to: Hayao Miyazaki, Milt Kahl,
Glen Keane, Sergio Pablos, Claire Wendling, Frank Thomas, Ollie
Johnson, Bill Watterson, James Gurney, Stephen Silver, Al Hirchfeld,
J.R.R. Tolkien, Walt Disney, and God.
Jessica
also enjoys dinosaurs, soccer, traveling the country, woodworking,
gardening, chasing small animals, sitting in the sun, Irish drinking
music, reading (way too much), and some good ol' fashioned video
games.
